Puerto Pollensa lies on one of the most beautiful bays on the northern coast of Mallorca.
There are many sandy beaches nearby, each with their own characteristic features; either long, wide beaches (Bay of Alcudia) or smaller beaches with open sea views (Cala San Vicente) or the long sandy beach with shady pine trees and use of the famous Hotel Formentor beach restaurant (Bay of Formentor) to name a few.
Puerto Pollensa has many excursion possibilities for cyclists and hikers and has two golf courses nearby (Pollensa, 9 holes; Alcanada, 18 holes).
The famous music festival in the town of Pollensa in August offers concerts of the highest standard with renowned international musicians.
With your hired car and the new motorway it's a short drive (40 mins) to Palma and all its exciting locations and numerous sights: museums, art galleries, exclusive shops, concerts, dancing, restaurants, and of course the beautiful old part of Palma around the cathedral.
